Over 85 percent of the interns who have worked in these offices obtained successful employment within college athletics and higher education.

Intern Perspective

"As the inclusion intern, I support the national office’s inclusion initiatives both in-house and among the NCAA membership. During my first month in the program, I have already been able to take the lead on creating a national diversity and inclusion campaign for student-athlete advisory committees and building a database of promising practices for inclusive excellence across the membership. Every day is different and the opportunities to leave your mark are endless. I get to work with leaders in college athletics who are as passionate about diversity and inclusion as I am, and I truly believe that the work I am doing is benefiting stakeholders at all levels within the NCAA — from administrators to coaches and, of course, our student-athletes."

Yannick Kluch, 2018-19 inclusion intern

"During the first month of my experience, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to the Effective Facilitation Workshop, the Minority Coaches Series for women’s track and field, and the Leadership Institute. Throughout these programs, I actively engaged in sessions, facilitated panel conversations, assisted with on-site logistics and introduced distinguished speakers."

Tim Bryson, 2018-19 leadership development intern

“In my role as the marketing and branding intern, I aid in the development, execution, storytelling, promotion and marketing for 38 programs facilitated by the NCAA leadership development department. I publish our department’s monthly newsletter, act as a liaison with the communications department as well as external media outlets to craft departmental messaging, and collaborate to produce content for the NCAA Events mobile app. In addition to my job duties, I have been afforded the opportunity to build valuable connections with student-athletes, coaches and athletics administrators from NCAA membership institutions.”

Patrick Malin, 2018-19 leadership development intern
