Remember! The 2017 Convention will take place Wednesday, Jan. 18, to Saturday, Jan. 21, just after Martin Luther King Jr. Day and more than a week after the College Football Playoff National Championship.
2017 NCAA meeting schedule – Wednesday through Saturday:
New for 2017! The Convention schedule has been optimized so members may attend more Association-wide events:
- Convention workshops are Wednesday, Jan. 18.
- The Honors Celebration is 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18.
- Menu sessions are Thursday, Jan. 19.
- The Opening Business Session is 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19.
- The Delegates Reception is 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19.
- The Association Luncheon (formerly Keynote Luncheon) is 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20.
The core business days of Convention will remain unchanged. For Division I attendees, programming will conclude Friday, Jan. 20. For Divisions II and III attendees, programming will conclude Saturday, Jan. 21.
The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, will provide meeting space and sleeping rooms for the 2017 NCAA Convention.
Convention meeting space requests:
The 2017 Convention meeting space request portal is now open. If you plan to conduct a meeting or event at the 2017 NCAA Convention, complete the online request form by Aug. 29, 2016.
All space requests must be submitted online, with a separate request for each meeting or function. Requests will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
2017 Convention registration:
Registration for the 2017 NCAA Convention will open Monday, Sept. 12.
Registration fee includes all Convention programming and one ticket to the Delegates Reception on Thursday, Jan. 19, and Delegates Breakfasts on Friday, Jan. 20, and Saturday, Jan 21. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase one ticket to the Honors Celebration for $20 on a first-come, first-served basis and to receive one complimentary ticket to the Association Luncheon on a first-come, first-served basis. Available tickets can be reserved during the Convention registration process.
Registration fees are refundable minus a $50 fee if canceled before Saturday, Dec. 10. The cancellation fee is $100 from Sunday, Dec. 11, through Friday, Jan. 6. Cancellations after Friday, Jan. 6, are not refundable. All deadlines are effective midnight Eastern time.
