“The fact of the matter is that we have a population of former athletes walking the earth who are CEOs and teachers and engineers and astronauts and go on to live completely normal and incredibly productive lives. It’s only been of late that we have these very small reference points now suggesting the possibility of a link. Ultimately, even if that association exists, we know that it’s happening an incredibly small percentage of the time. I think the public is making pretty broad decisions based on the story, and I think there’s a call here to deliver the science that is then the basis for the story instead of the other way around.”
